October 16, 2013 – Thermafiber launches UltraBatt™ insulation

Thermafiber has announces the launch of UltraBatt™, a new residential and light commerical insulation batt. UltraBatt™ is engineered to provide thermal comfort, fire protection and sound control all in one product. UltraBatt™ is available in standard wood stud and steel stud sizes depending on the application it is used for. UltraBatt™ can be purchased at Menards® retail stores and is available in standard wood stud and steel stud sizes dependign on the application.

Owens Corning (NYSE: OC) announces that it has completed the acquisition of Thermafiber Inc., a leading manufacturer of mineral wool commercial and industrial insulation products.

March 12, 2013 – Thermafiber developed short spandrel curtain wall system

Thermafiber has devloped a new system (CW-D-1014) that was tested with a 24″ high spandrel area, the shortest spandrel height in the UL Fire Resistance Directory. This is the first UL system taht allows for the extension of vision glass to the floor line.

October 17, 2012 – Thermafiber releases FixtureShield kits

Thermafiber has released a new light fixture protection kit for the commerical building market. This new, patented design is lightweight, reduces installation time, offers energy saving R-value and imporves sound control. FixtureShield is UL approved and listed in several fire rated floor/ceiling and roof/ceiling assemblies.

September 13, 2012 – Thermafiber releases e-book for mobile devices

Thermafiber, Inc. has announced the release of its commercial and residential binder in e-book format. The binder can be viewed in the iBook app for Apple devices and Adobe Reader on Android devices.

August 16th, 2012 – Thermafiber releases RainBarrier HD

Thermafiber, Inc. has announced the release of a new continuous insulation product. RainBarrier HD (Heavy Density) is a rigid insulation board with a consistent 6.0 pcf density throughout the entire thickness.
